The school had a history focus week at the beginning of the Autumn Term. They asked me to produce some panels to illustrate a history time line that would run around the corridors of the school. I worked with small groups from Reception to Year 6 to produce one panel each day, based on the history topics that they studied in the school. I felt that the children really benefitted from spending a whole day on one project and seeing it through from beginning to end. In the older age groups they took responsibility for the planning, as well as producing the finished panel, with only minimal guidance from me.
